Dear NY Daily News:
I would like to propose an option (d) for this multiple choice poll I found on your site today.
(d) What do I think about Obama declaring the Defense of Marriage Act unconsitutional?  I think that he hasn’t declared DOMA unconstitutional, even though this NY Daily News poll is pushing me to believe that he has.  I think that the president can’t declare something unconstitutional, so I think that it really doesn’t matter what I think.  I think that the second answer has a delicious typo that makes my choices a) I agree with Obamal, b) I don’t agree with him, but I still think DOMA should be unconstitutional, or c) I don’t know.  So, overall I think the poll is inaccurate, misleading, impossible, sloppy and non-sensical.
I took great care to write this proposed option (d) impartially.  Just to show you how impartial I am, if I were voting in your poll, I would definitely choose (a).  Both because I agree with Obama and because, frankly, option (d) includes an a), b) and c) inside of it, which is just really bad form.
